Shell Beach sits in the gap between Jenner and Bodega Bay, hidden on purpose. Tide pools. Rocky shoreline. And just off the Kortum Trail, in the grasses, a hand-cut labyrinth made of stones and shells — built in the late 1990s, kept up by visitors, with a small center where people leave tokens.
This candle is for that walk.
Orange blossom and cotton blossom open it — gentle and salt-touched, blooms catching the sea breeze. Water lily through the middle, floating over the cliffs. Sandalwood at the base, soft and elegant, the kind of finish memory tends to take.
It is the smell of beachcombing and meditation in the same morning. Of a labyrinth built by hand and kept up by strangers. Of a coastline quiet enough to leave something behind in.
Love, love, love! The smell is soo refreshing and light. And it has helped eliminate the fishy smell coming from co-workers cooking salmon in the office

I opened Marine layer first and I wasn't happy but gosh it's grown on me and I love it. I'm delighted that I got it because it captures certain moments of my trip.
